Lake Titicaca
Lake Titicaca is called the highest navigable lake in the world and is the largest in South America.
Lake Titicaca hosts many native people of Peru and Bolivia. It is also a beautiful lake to sail on, which my friends and I did from a Bolivian yacht club. We sailed to a remote island and camped for a night, played and sang songs around a camp fire, and mingled with a few children from a nearby village.

The Isla del Sol is a noteworthy island worth exploring. It hosts a variety of Incan ruins that date back to the 15th century.
