Mexican Flag in Ensenada
Ensenada is an easily accessible cruise ship destination. Just a 2-day cruise from Los Angles, it's also a jumping off point for visiting Valle de Guadalupe, a local wine region.
We took a Carnival Cruise from Los Angeles to Ensenada, which is far enough away to make it feel like a long cruise, but close enough where you can do it in 4-days. There's not a lot to see in Ensenada, so a short stop at the port is plenty of time. The La Bufadora is probably the coolest thing to check out. It's a blowhole that shoots water up like a geyser as the waves crash in. Apparently, it's the largest of its kind in all of North America. Though we didn't go visit the wineries, the local wine region is apparently worth a visit.
